Hi, I’m Sam, the founder of Hands On Clay.

I live in Edenbridge with my husband, our twin girls and our crazy dog, Phoebe — who is very much part of the family!

My journey with clay began 25 years ago when I signed up for an evening pottery course. Little did I know then that it would become such a big part of my life! I’ve been hooked ever since and, over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy both making and teaching pottery at various studios.

I’m a member of Kent Potters and love exhibiting my work at craft shows, meeting fellow makers and chatting to people who share my love of handmade things.

A few years ago, I created my own pottery studio in the garden at home. It’s now my favourite place to be, and I’m so excited to be able to spend more time there sharing my love of clay with others.

Hands On Clay is all about getting your hands dirty, having fun and discovering just how satisfying it is to make something with your own two hands. Whether you’re completely new to pottery or already have some experience, you’ll be made to feel very welcome.
